MakerWorld Progress and Upcoming Adjustments

MakerWorld's open beta has been live for 20 days, and in that time, they have received support from creators and users and acquired many models. They have also faced challenges, including technical and operational issues. One issue that has been discussed is the presence of a robot named Bean Overlord, which has been farming points through excessive profile uploads. This misunderstanding has led to the creation of a new feature that allows profile uploaders to donate their incentives to model creators. MakerWorld will also require proof of actual printed results for profile uploads and highlight profiles from the model creator more prominently. Complaints have arisen regarding model sharing, and to address this, MakerWorld will temporarily disable the sharing function while seeking input from the community on how to effectively moderate shared models. They will also implement a manual review process for incentive redemption and impose penalties for rule violations.
