Guide to Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D Printing
Selective laser sintering (SLS) is an additive manufacturing technique that was developed in the 1980s. It can work with a wide range of materials, including plastics, metals, glass, ceramics, and composites. SLS is commonly used in powder bed fusion 3D printing systems, both plastic-based (SLS) and metal-based (DMLS/SLM). These systems used to be expensive and complex, limiting their use to high-value or custom parts. However, recent innovation has made plastic-based SLS more accessible and compact, paving the way for widespread adoption. Read more: https://formlabs.com/blog/what-is-selective-laser-sintering/.
