Introducing Polypropylene Powder: Lightweight, Ductile, and Chemically Resistant Material for SLS 3D Printing
Formlabs has introduced a new material called Polypropylene Powder for the Fuse Series selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing ecosystem. This material allows for the creation of highly ductile parts suitable for prototyping and low-volume manufacturing. Polypropylene parts made with this material are lightweight, watertight, and chemically resistant, making them ideal for end-use applications. Unlike other materials, Polypropylene Powder does not require outsourcing to a service bureau or expensive machinery, making it accessible for in-house 3D printing. With an elongation at break of 34% and a flexural modulus of 1327 MPa, this material offers properties similar to injection molded polypropylenes. It opens up possibilities in various industries, including consumer goods, medical devices, automotive, and industrial goods. For more information, read the full article here: Read more.
